Berlin Fashion Week Spring

Enjoy, look around backstage before the show, something we did not want to miss. But when four young designers meet and four collections, it is in the rear part of the fashion tent at the Brandenburg fairly closely. It could be heard more clearly in turmoil again and again drop a name: Marc Jacobs. It’s all revolved around the question of how he would figure out where he nocturnal and what he was doing – ie issues that are reminiscent of the hype about a pop star.

Marc Jacobs is a patron and member of the jury of the “Designer for Tomorrow” award, the Peek & Cloppenburg during the Berlin Fashion Week gives young talent. “Normally I shy reluctant to judge others”, the designer talks about his job. He is neither shy nor modest, however: “I’ve probably felt in the role of the expert can leave.”

At the announcement of the winner, he had, among other things in common with Vogue editor-in-chief Christiane Arp and art collector Karen Boros be found, he had left: “Alexandra Kiesel”.

The winner – who was wearing very significant building block in their style with rich colors, a ‘Marc loves me’ shirt, sat down with her collection durch.Darunter against its strong competitor: the dark and severe looks from Marc Buscha, the artificial radical creations by Markus Schmidbauer, Lena Hasibether unusual mix of materials and Jonathan Hofwegen Men’s cuts with an androgynous touch.

Alexandra Kiesel thus occurs in the footsteps of previous winners, which include among others Parsival Cseres or Julia weavers. Peek & Cloppenburg implements a collection of the winner, parts of which offers to trade with him and realizes its own show at the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
